Help Exercises Unit 7: Configuring the Screen

Exercise 1: The Wallpaper

The section 1 asks us to select as wallpaper the image called flowers.

1 Go to the desktop and right click on it and select the option Properties from the shortcut menu..

2 Select the Desktop tab.

3 From the Background list select flowers.

4 Click OK.

Section 2 asks us to choose tile as presentation.

1 Do steps 1 and 2 from exercise 1.

2 Select Tile from the Position list

3 Click OK.

Section 3 asks us to search for an image we like.

1 Do steps 1 and 2 from exercise 1.

2 Click on Browse and find an image you like and click on Open.

3 Click OK to have the changes take effect.

Exercise 2: Screensaver

Exercise 1 asks us to choose the screensaver Forms and Figures.

1 Go to the desktop and with the right mouse button select the option Properties.

2 Select the Screensaver tab.

3 From the screensaver list select the one called 3D FlowerBox.

4 Click OK.

Exercise 2 asks us to selct as wait time 7 minutes.

1 Do steps 1 and 2 from exercise 1.

2 From the Wait box select 7.

3 Click OK.

Exercise 3: Configuration

Exercise 1 asks us to change the colors to (32 bits).

1 Go to the desktop and with the right mouse button select Properties.

2 Select the option Settings.

3 From the Color quality list select (Highest 32 bits).

4 Click OK.

Exercise 2 asks us to set a resolution of 800 by 600 píxels..

1 Do steps 1 and 2 from exercise 1.

2 In Screen Resolution, drag the arrow to the right or left until we reach 800 by 600.

3 Click OK.
