| Unit 10. Advanced. lnstalling new hardware |
| Normally it will not find anything new. If it were Plug&Play, as we have explained, the system would have detected it. Before executing this assistant, simply connect the hardware.
If we aswer YES and click on Next, the next screen will appear.
| Now the assistant shows the hardware that it has found in the computer. The hardware that we want to install will probably not be on the list shown. What we have to do is scroll down to the end of the list to find a line that says "Add new hardware" and click on this line. Then by clicking Next the instalation assistant will continue.
The first one is to have Windows look again for the new hardware, just as we have talked about, but it will probably not find what we are looking for. Nevertheless, we can try again and we will get the screen that is shown here. The other option: Install the hardware that I manually select from a list. This is the option that interests us and we will discuss it on the next page. |
| This
window tells us that it has not found the new hardware, so we click on Next
to continue.
