Exercises Unit 16 : Animation Effects
Exercise 1: Code for embedding Flash in HTML
When we export a Flash movie to publish it in a Web page, Flash introduces HTML code lines that tells to the browser what movie it must playback and how.
Try to deduce and identify the following code, which is the outcome of the movie exportation.
The elements are those that we indicated in the export properties, and are closely related to the display in the browser.
SRC="teacherClick.swf" quality=high bgcolor=#FFFFFF
WIDTH="640" HEIGHT="480" NAME="teacherClick"
EMBED: It means literally "to set" or "to embed". This label indicates that we plan to insert an object, whose programming language is different from the own HTML and whose format is one of an executable file.
SRC: Here is the path that indicates where is and the name of the SWF file we've exported.
QUALITY: It indicates the movie playback quality (as we've seen in this unit, this comes determined by the speed and smoothening of the image) and its possible values can be placed there.
BGCOLOR: It indicates the background color that we've defined in the Properties.
WIDTH: It specifies the width of the movie (in pixels).
HEIGHT: It specifies the height of the movie (in pixels).
NAME: It is the name of the movie that we've published.
ALIGN: It indicates the place in which we've aligned the movie on the Web page.
TYPE: It specifies the file type that will be embedded to correctly prepare the browser for its playback.
PLUGINSPAGE: Here it is indicated the location of the page from which the user can download the necessary plug-in to display the embedded file.
</EMBED> This indicates to the HTML interpreter that we've finished specifying the embedded file.
Legal warning: Authorised on-line use only. It is not allowed the use of these courses in companies or private teaching centres.
