Theme 8 Exercises. Working with rows, columns, cells, and sheets.


If Excel2003 is not open yet, open it in order to perform the following exercises.

 

Exercise 1: Fruit sales IV.

1 Open the Sales people workbook in the My documents folder of the hard drive.

2 Insert a row between the peach and the pear rows.

3 Insert two rows between the apple and the grape rows.

4 Insert a column between the TOTAL and the €/KG columns.

5 Insert a sheet afeter Sheet1.

6 Insert 4 cells into the range A6:B7 , in such a way that the cells are displaced toward the bottom.

Observe the result.

7 Insert 2 cells into the range A5:B5 , in such a way that the cells are displaced toward the right.

Observe the result.

 

 

We will now practice eliminating cells, columns, and sheets.

8 Eliminate the range B4:C4, in such a way that the cells are displaced toward the left.

9 Eliminate the range A6:A8 , in such a way that the cells are displaced toward the top.

10 Eliminate column I .

11 Eliminate rows 7, 11, and 12.

12 Eliminate the empty sheets in the workbook.

13 Close the workbook without saving the changes.
