Theme 6 Exercises: CELL FORMATS.

If Excel2003 is not open yet, open it in order to perform the following exercises.

Exercise 1: Precipitations III.

1 Open the Precipitations workbook in the My documents folder of the hard drive.

2 Modify the format of the cells so that the sheet is the same as the one seen below.

3 Close the workbook, saving the changes.

1 Open the Sales people workbook in the My documents folder of the hard drive.

Exercise 3: Race.

1 Start a new workbook.

The "Rush" club has organised a bicycle race. The participants have different types of bicycles, and so the time used to cover the race is multiplied by a compensation factor so that the result is fair. The organisers of the race want to implement a model that allows them to calculate the race times and be able to elaborate a list of classifications.

2 The model should look similar to the one seen below, keeping in mind that the light blue cells are formulas.

3 Close the workbook, saving the changes and naming it Race in the My documents folder of the hard drive.

1 Open the Thefts workbook in the My documents folder of the hard drive.
