Unit 7. Advanced. Hiding columns |
| We will look at the possibility of hiding columns so that they are not shown whilst not losing their contents, this done with data not indispensable when working with the worksheet, or simply because they contain intermediate formulas that will be seen again furthar on.

Hiding columns |
|
| The hiding of columns is another of the options that can be very usefull, when, for example, intermediate formulas appear in a row that we are not interested in seeing once we have concluded the sheet. In this case we do not want the columns with intermediate formulas to appear, but we can not erase them as the calculation sheet needs them for its operations.
The mechanics are the same as when hiding and showing rows: Drop down the Format menu. Select the Column option. Another submenu appears. Select the Hide option.

Show hidden columns. |
| If we want to unhide the hidden columns, eg to change an intermediate calulation formula: Select the columns to unhide from the columns found. That is, if we want to unhide column C, we need to select from B to D. Be aware that the range need to be continuous, that is, dragging from B to D never with CTRL, because if not the columns to show will not be included in the selection to show.
Another submenu will appear. Select the Unhide option.
