To Practice the procedures used to insert a behavior in order to show and hide layers. |
| 1 You need to open Dreamweaver in order to do the exercise. 2 If the Files panel doesn't show up, open it through the Window menu, and then the Files option. 3 Select the Animals site in Files panel. 4 Double-click on the cats.htm file, found in the Files panel. The document will be opened in Dreamweaver. 5 If the properties inspector doesn't show up, open it through the Window menu, and then the Properties option. 6 If the behavior panel doesn't show up, open it through Window, and then the Behavior option. 7 Click on the cat image to select it. 8 Click on the 9 Select the Show-Hide layers option. If the Show-Hide
layers option doesn't show up, you need to go to the Show
events for option and select a newer browser. Select IE
5.5 or IE 6.0. Then click
on the 10 In Named layers: select the layers "weekcat" layer, which is the only one in the list, being the only one in the file. 11 Click on the Show button. 12 Click on the OK button. In the behaviors panel it will be the new behavior. 13 Click on panel behavior. 14 Click on the 15 Select onClick event. 16 Click on the 17 Select Close text. 18 In link, of properties inspector, write #, and the image will have an empty link. 19 In Text color 20 Click on the 21 Select the Show-Hide layers option. 22 In Named layers:, select the "weekcat" layer. 23 Click on the Hide button. 24 Click on the OK button. The new file will be in the behaviors panel. 25 Click on the behavior in the panel. 26 Click on the 27 Select the onClick event. 28 Click on the Save 29 View the page in your browser and check the defined behaviors. |
