Unit 3 Exercise help. Creating a local web site and modifying its properties.


Exercise 1: Sports

Point 1: To create a new site it's necessary select the Manage Sites... option from the Site menu.

In the new dialog window, click on the New... button and then select Site.

In the new dialog window click on the Advanced tab and then select local info.

In Site name - type Sports.

In the Local root folder browse to the sports folder that is located on the exercisesdream folder.

In the Default images folder we can select the images folder inside the sports folder.

Click on OK.

Point 2: To open the how.htm document it's necessary to double click on this file, in the list of files that appear on the Files panel.

Once open, select the Page Properties... option in the Modify menu.

In the new window type as Title: Who are we?, and as Background: #99CCCC and as Text: #003333.

Click on OK.

Point 3 Click on the Save button , and then click on the Close button .

Exercise 2: Kitchen

 

Point 1 To create a new site it's necessary select the Manage Sites... option from the Site menu.

In the new dialoge windows, click on the New... button and then select Site.

In the new dialoge window click on the Advanced tab and then choose local info.

In Site name type Kitchen.

In the Local root folder browse to the kitchen folder that is located in the exercisesdream folder.

In the Default images folder we can select the images folder found inside the kitchen folder.

Click on Ok.

Point 2 To open the menu.htm document it's necessary to double-click on this file in the list of files that appear on the Files panel.

Once open, select the Page Properties... option of the Modify menu.

In the new window type as Title: Menu, in Link color and Active link: #000000 and on Visited links: #FF9999.

Point 3 Select as Background image the bground.gif.

Click on Ok.

Point 4 Click on the Save button , and then click on the Close button .
