Unit 2 Exercise Help. Create, open, and close a database.

Exercise 1:Distributer

Part 1 As the Distributer database does not exist, we create one in blank and then enter the name Distributer.

Click on the option Blank database on the task pane that appears on the right of the screen.

If the Task pane does not appear, click on button.

Next will appear the dialogue box File new database, click on the Save in arrow, and select the corresponding unit in the hard drive (C for example) as this is where we will save the new folder.

Click on the button to create a new folder and fill in the name of the folder as My exercises.

And Lastly, in the File name: box write Distributer and click on the button Create.

Part 2 Go to the File menu and select the Close option.

Part 3 Click on the name Distributer.mdb which appear in the File menu

Part 4 Click on the Close button in the database window.

Exercise 2: Clinic

Part 1 If the Task pane does not appear click on the button which will open the task pane, and select the Blank database option.

Next the dialogue box File new database appears, click on the Save in: arrow to select the My exercises folder which we created in the previous exercise.

And lastly, in the Name of file: box, write Clinic and click on Create.

Part 2 Click on button.

Part 3 Click on the name Clinic which appears in the dialogue box.

Part 4 Click on the Close button in the database window.
